Having the proper gadgets and gear are never more helpful than when traveling!
I often have friends and guests ask me what my go-to gadgets & travel-musts are for traveling.
3 things I consider when deciding what to bring:
- Is it essential?
- Will it REALLY be used?
- Can it be cross utilized?
The same efficient fore thought should be taken for gadgets and gear packing just as you should your vacation wardrobe! Space is limited plus do you really want to haul around stuff you’re not going to use ?
My Travel Gadget MUSTs List:
Air Tags & Tiles Baggage Tags:
The hype is real and warranted when it comes to using electronic baggage tags like AirTags (Apple compatible) and Tiles (Android compatible) to track your bags on your mobile device when traveling. Even airlines are connecting to passenger’s electronic tags to help located lost luggage! You can purchase in singles or packs of 4 and are easily connected to a mobile device.

Universal Travel Adapter:
This versatile electric outlet adapter works in over 200 countries, can charge up to 6 devices at once (1 AC socket, 2 USBs & 3 USCs), has power surge protections, and is compact.

AirFly Headphone Adapter:
You have probably experienced how horrible airline issued earphones are to watch a movie. But did you know you can listen on your own Bluetooth headphones by using a small device called an AirFly adapter. Simply connect your Bluetooth earphones to this little device and then plug it into the in-flight entertainment screen plug where you would have plugged in the traditional headphones. The quality of sound, the noise blocking ability and the comfort level will make that no-legroom economy seat a bit more comfortable! And compatible with MANY different brands of headphones (I have a cheap knock off of airpods and it works great!) also charge on this device lasts about 20 hours and actually can be used while charging.

Portable Charger
There are tons of options out there for portable chargers but I online the slim design and the multiple adapter plugs of this charging device. USB & C in&out High-Speed Charging and compatible with iPhone 16 15 14 13 12 Samsung S22 S21 Google iPad & more!

NOT Gadgets But Definitely MUSTs!
Alkaseltzer Plus Cold Tablets
This stuff has been my personal miracle cure! When I’m feeling a bit under the weather or maybe a cold is coming on , I just take two of these and go to bed or take a little nap and wake feeling ready to hit the streets exploring!!
Not a cure all or guaranteed but has helped me MANY times!
ALSO these magic fizzy pills have been known to be a good cure for the “morning after” a few too many drinks. I find the important part to this process, is to drink it down before you go to bed.
And always make sure to dissolve the two tablets in a big glass of water.
** I also do not encourage you to party that hard, but just incase – have a couple of these with you!
AND disclaimer: I am not a medical professional and this is over the counter medicine, that I am sharing has worked for me.

Shout Stain Remover Wipes
I never leave home with out one of these in my wallet or bag!! These little life saving, magical stain remover wipes have quickly removed food and drink dribbles and even grime from someone accidentally stepping on my coat.
They come in a handy little 4 wipe packet and it’s a bit cheaper if you buy the multi pack option.

Magic Eraser
The name says it all! And why do I need one for traveling?
For my shoes!!
These handy little dry sponges instantly polish up my sneakers after a long day of grime and scuffs from walking city streets. I keep one in a ziplock stored away in my bags side pouch. When I use I just get it a tiny bit damp before scrubbing a stain or scuff on my shoes.

Downy Wrinkle Release Spray
I try and always have room for a travel size bottle of Downy All-In-One Wrinkle Release Spray , Odor Eliminator, Static Remover Fabric Refresher & Ironing Aid for my travel clothes. This stuff is simply GREAT!!

And one more packing tip I can not recommend enough is … PRACTICE-PACK!
It may seem silly, but one week before traveling I always evaluate what I want to take on a trip, then pack my bag, and typically end up eliminating at least a third of those first-impulse items I thought I needed.
Remember these 3 packing questions:
- Is it essential?
- Will it REALLY be used?
- Can it be cross utilized?
