One of those days filled with views that are so breathtaking yet can not be captured in photos! We ventured into the Alps today taking the @unesco designed rail line @rhaetischebahn from Torino Italy to St Moritz Switzerland. Such tranquility in the beauty here, on days like today it seemed a gentler way of life but I’m sure the reality of winter life and just a trek to get groceries is anything but easy.
A branch of my family tree sprouts from Switzerland and my heart definitely felt connected at the first sight of the Alps. No hesitation on putting this place on my motor-bike-bucket-list someday!
St Moritz was the winter wonderland home to many “firsts” in the realm of winter sports back in the late 1800s and has evolved into one of the most glamorous destinations in the world. The town is full of luxury shops (@alexandermcqueen @louisvuitton @versace @bulgari to name a few) and I had my heart set on stepping into @cartier and trying on a few dream pieces #timepiecegoals .. but alas we arrived to an empty town due to shift in season calendar & a church holiday… I WILL BE BACK

TRAVEL TIP: although the train up & private driver back to Lake Como was wonderful , I would definitely recommend this as a driving-trip! There were SO MANY scenic views and quaint villages , and loads of motorbikes on the roads… a tell tale sign that THESE are amazing roads to drive!

WOW ! THE best way to describe beautiful Lake Como, this fabulous group of new friends & traveling on a @tourskeyrow trip! This was my Italian-training trip so not only am I working but I’m also getting to experience it a bit like a guest as well … and WOW !

Next year I’ll be leading this trip and THIS is the trip for food & wine & beautiful sites & amazing fun!

Oh delicious Modena!! So much passion and tradition that goes into products that we take for granted .. and the most important lesson today is just because it says “made in Italy” isn’t always REAL ITALIAN!
A tremendous food day in an area that must be on your Italy-Bucket List!!
